WHAT MAKES ‘LUUMA HOUSE’ AN ABSOLUTE TREAT?

Here are our recommendations and review points on what we tasted:

The Paglian citrus burrata salad was an absolutely refreshing and vibrant dish and a perfect way to start your meal. that beautifully combines creamy burrata with a medley of citrus fruits. An adequate drizzle of the juicy dressing, a sprinkle of fresh herbs elevated the flavors even further. The winner here is the perfect blend of the asparagus, burrata, orange segments, arugula, walnuts and balsamic drizzle We loved the Chef’s secret touch of adding a chocolate flavor to the crunchy walnuts which made this salad not only visually stunning but also a light, zesty option that’s perfect as a starter or light lunch. A must-try for cheese lovers and anyone seeking a fresh, flavorful dish!

Since we had to opt for a vegetarian menu on the review day, our first in line choices for the small plates was the Cyprus Halloumi Skewers which caught our attention. We loved the grilled textured halloumi which was elaborately sprinkled with condiments that raised the flavor levels. Added to the skewers were pineapple and olives which lent a juicy touch. The generous helping of the citrus salad made it an enjoyable experience.

The Pesto Paneer turned out to be a delightful fusion dish which combined the rich, creamy texture of soft paneer - the vibrant, herbaceous flavors of pesto, basil and tomato sauce is surely a crowd-pleaser, perfect for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian guests alike. Do try this one too!

The Malabar taco had the perfect Kerala style ingredients with the high notes of the pachadi. The curry leaves added the perfect tinge to the parotta but somehow we would have enjoyed it more if it would have been juicier. 




For the main course, we opted for the vegetarian version of the ‘Kuttu Parotta’ which turned out to a sure-shot showstopper. This has been one of the most delightful dish we have tried in recent times. The scintillating flavors of a flaky, layered flatbread are an awesome treat with the rich, aromatic salna curry. This dish is elevated by the addition of plant protein and a medley of fresh vegetables, creating a satisfying meal. The savory salna is infused with spices that enhance its depth. The incorporation of plant protein boosts the dish, making each bite a flavorful experience.

Chef Pradnesh from ‘LUUMA HOUSE’ has created a ‘chota packet, bada dhamaka’ from the quintessential, iconic dish. The twist is lip-smacking, irresistible, delectable and seductively dynamite. You can add chicken to this variation too. A standing ovation to the Chef for the power-packed blockbuster of dish.

For desserts, we chose the Neapolitan Sundae, a delightful treat that captured the essence of classic flavors. The cookie cream soft scoops with dense chocolate fudgy brownie and strawberry balsamic jam made it a perfect light dessert for those who love a little variety, making it a fun and indulgent choice to satisfy your sweet tooth!

For Cocktails, we recommend the Pearl Sage, an Earl grey infused gin base. The pear puree, sage leaves, cheesecake syrup, lime juice, sparkling water added a delightful and exceptional taste to the concoction. The Mocktails were a luscious and indulgent treat, almost on par with best-selling cocktails. We recommend the Grass berry and Citrusino which had the freshness and lilting fruity flavors.

WHAT’S HOT IN MUMBAI surely missed out on the non-vegetarian fare for which we will make sure we visit again. Our strong recommendations to all since Luuma House transcends the notion of a mere dining destination. Our experience has been a sensory odyssey and we loved every moment of this extraordinary culinary adventure.
